Darling J, It is so good to hear from you - I mean actually YOU. It sounds as if you are having a very full life at sea. I am really missing you and all our chats. I have been to your house a few times (to collect the post) and it seems really odd without you. It is, however, beautifully clean and tidy! It has stayed very hot here and there has been almost no rain, so the ground is dry and cracked. Today has seen a couple of showers. I am rather pleased with myself because I cut the grass just before the rain started. I spent last weekend at Celia and David’s new house, which is very nice. They have an absolutely beautiful but rather dog-unfriendly garden. We went one day to the Oxted Show, which is very much like the Alresford Show except that the ferrets were asleep in hammocks rather than racing. Lily got very hot and tired. I decided not to show her the photo of Obie swimming in the sea! David is very impressed with your love of fishing. Perhaps you can try again for a bigger fish, or do you need another lure? If the latter, I am sure you can find a fishing shop in one of the Spanish ports which you are going to visit. I am playing my trumpet in a concert tomorrow night. I hope I don’t make too many mistakes or, if I do, that nobody hears them. Please write again soon. All love, Grandma Xxxxxxxx.

What a beautiful and well balanced post J We all enjoyed reading about your best bits and think the game rose, rose, thorn, buds is super!! I agree, the party boats sound super annoying so I’m glad that’s all behind you now. We also have a special fondness for pizza and glad to hear you managed to wangle an American style meal out of your parents too :-) We miss you all too and Oliver is excited to see you again so you can be “naughty together!”. Have lots of fun and enjoy your adventures! Love, The Hart’s xx.
